World Gin Day 2019!—

Olly and the BBC Saturday Kitchen team celebrated the 11th World Gin Day last Saturday by matching a gin cocktail with each delicious dish prepared by chefs Sabrina Ghayour, Theo Randall and host Matt Tebbutt. Singer Tom Walker enjoyed his food heaven paired with a super London Dry Gin.

Olly created a gin & tonic called ‘The Glory of Ghayour’ using Yorkshire’s first locally distilled gin, Mason’s Dry Yorkshire Gin, Bottle Green Rhubarb & a hint of Ginger cordial and Fever Tree tonic with Sabrina’s Potato, ricotta and herb dumplings with walnut and pul biber butter. With Theo Randall’s Grilled sirloin ‘tagliata’ with beans and salsa verde, Olly created ‘The Roman Randall’, a Red Snapper using Seven Hills Italian Dry Gin (available from The Whiskey Exchange, £29.95) & The Pickle House, Spiced Tomato Mix (£4.50).
