World Gin Day 2019!—

Olly and the BBC Saturday Kitchen team celebrated the 11th World Gin Day last Saturday by matching a gin cocktail with each delicious dish prepared by chefs Sabrina Ghayour, Theo Randall and host Matt Tebbutt. Singer Tom Walker enjoyed his food heaven paired with a super London Dry Gin.

Olly created a gin & tonic called ‘The Glory of Ghayour’ using Yorkshire’s first locally distilled gin, Mason’s Dry Yorkshire Gin, Bottle Green Rhubarb & a hint of Ginger cordial and Fever Tree tonic with Sabrina’s Potato, ricotta and herb dumplings with walnut and pul biber butter. Mason’s is widely available, from £36

With Theo Randall’s Grilled sirloin ‘tagliata’ with beans and salsa verde, Olly created ‘The Roman Randall’, a Red Snapper using Seven Hills Italian Dry Gin (available from The Whiskey Exchange, £29.95) & The Pickle House, Spiced Tomato Mix (£4.50).
