Good-value party fizz—

If you’re searching for good-value party fizz to light up your Halloween, pop to Aldi and pick up its Exquisite Collection Prosecco Superiore DOCG (11%) for £7.99. For the price, it’s unbeatable.

But while Prosecco may still be a crowd-pleaser I’ve found even more beautiful bargains from Spain. Cava is the future – and if I’m slapping down the cash for party bubbles, that’s what I’m buying. My wine of the week from Morrisons is ace for £7.50, otherwise grab Tesco Finest 2016 (12%) for £9, or Aldi’s Exquisite Collection 2016 (11.5%) at £6.49.

For fizz of top quality and character, of course, there’s Champagne or English sparklers to dazzle for a few quid more – so why not treat yourself and light up the night.

Olly’s book, ‘Fizz: 80 Joyful Cocktails And Mocktails For Every Occasion’ (£12.99) is out now.
