P&O Cruises Grand Event—

Olly was delighted to join P&O Cruises in celebrating 175 years of heritage.
In celebration of this exciting anniversary, all seven ships of the P&O Cruises fleet came together in their home port of Southampton on the same day, 3rd July 2012.
The seven ships – Adonia, Arcadia, Aurora, Azura, Oceana, Oriana, and Ventura – with a combined gross tonnage of 569,000 tonnes, were welcomed into port by ship’s Godmother Darcey Bussell for a day of celebrations, marking the first-ever occasion all seven P&O Cruises ships have gathered together in their home port.
Later, HRH The Princess Royal was greeted by the seven ship’s captains in a special ceremony. Her Royal Highness, godmother to two P&O Cruises ships, joined a VIP reception on board Oriana, where Olly shook hands with P&O Cruises consultant chefs Marco Pierre White, Atul Kochhar, and celebrity patissier Eric Lanlard.
With 2,600 bottles of champagne and 1,750 whole lobster loaded on board, passengers enjoyed barbeques on deck as the ships left their berths in the early evening.
Olly was proud to launch his first wine bar and eatery, The Glass House, onboard P&O Cruises’ luxury ship Azura in 2010.
